Learning by Practice

Experience is the best teacher for a reason. The learning that experience can give us is very unique and unparalleled because of the hard work that goes into it. Learning by reading or by watching videos, does have its impact but not as much as how learning things practically or learning by doing things. James highlights this and is a good reminder for all of us to learn things as much as possible by practice. Over the past year things I have learned by practice has made a tremendous change the way I live my life and hence I feel obliged to share this nice article. This part is certainly among the highlights.

Passive learning is not a form of practice because although you gain new knowledge, you are not discovering how to apply that knowledge. Active practice, meanwhile, is one of the greatest forms of learning because the mistakes you make while practicing reveal important insights.”
