Do or Do Not. There is no trying!
Would like to differ from Brett’s perspectives a little. I am with Yoda on this. If you are trying you don’t always give your best, when you decide to do, do things as though your life depended on it is when you compete and excel. When you try at the back of your mind, there is always the thought that you are trying and if you don’t go the full distance it’s just fine, so unknowingly you are settling for mediocre where as you could have been awesome. Thats why you do or you do not at the start. When you are done you can always say you tried.
