The picture is a screenshot of my cellular data usage stat on the iPhone 4. It’s a pleasant surprise that I have consumed so much of data over the past 14 odd months. I am happy that my iPhone has been put to full use, but what is important is the shift in the consumption paradigm from desktop to mobile. I might be among a few edge cases in a developing country like India with such cellular data usage numbers, but it’s amazing to be part of the trend. If a 3.2 inch iPhone could facilitate consumption at such levels with delight, I am left wondering what it would be like to have the New iPad with LTE.
The trend sure is shifting to mobile/handheld devices for consumption.
